RELATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

Relational intelligence has to do with our ability to connect with others. Its about authentic intimacy, about being in meaningful relationships, about our ability to connect with other people with skill and warmth and authenticity and genuine compassion. As human beings we are hardwired to connect, we are programmed for kindness and we can use our Relational Intelligence to make the world a better place.

An abundance of Relational Intelligence is literally life-giving and a lack of it literally makes our life meaningless. You have never known anybody who failed at relationships -- who was isolated, lonely, unconnected and had no deep friendships yet had a meaningful and joy-filled life, not a single one. Conversely you have never known anybody who gave themselves to "relational greatness" -- who had great friendships, who was devoted to their family, who mastered the art of giving and receiving LOVE, that had a bad life. No matter how little money they had or whether they are ever noted in society, these are the human beings who lead magnificent lives.

Relationally Intelligent people understand its all about LOVE. You get that right, whatever else you mess up, however low you are on anybody Else's ladder -- you WIN. You get that wrong, whatever other titles come after your name, however big an office you sit in -- you get that one wrong you LOSE.

Maybe above all Relationally Intelligent people understand how short life is, they live in awareness than one day, like this day. . . this life will end.

The good news is that Relational Intelligence -- the ability to connect with other people by learning to read their heart is a skill that can be developed.
